We've had several Ohlins riders that have gotten the suspension resprung because of the weight of the rider. In fact, it's just the opposite since several Ohlins riders have resprung their suspensions not the case for base model riders that I am aware. The rear shock does not have a dampening adjuster, only rebound however.īut so far as your assertion that heavy weight riders need Ohlins is not backed up from the posts here on the board. (Roads in Okla have some sharp bumps.)Īlso, the base model fork is multi-adjustable just like the Ohlins. In my case, I've only taken one turn of rebound from the rear shock and that's only adjustment I've made to it. I've mentioned before that Ohlins riders seem to be more fiddly, whether it's the rider or the suspension, I can't say. This is potentially a two-up bike and should accommodate some additional weight. I'm about 220, had the dealer set the sag for that. I am not aware of anyone respringing the base model bike.
